This screening is part of the Flickering Treasures Film Series. More info.

The Flickering Treasures Film Series features a wide range of movie theater-related themes: the passion of local cinephiles, exhibitor

ingenuity and showmanship, moviegoing as a form of storytelling and nostalgia for small town theaters and shared matinee memories.

This series highlights not only the creativity of exhibitors, but also the sense of community created by the moviegoing experience. The

series is co-presented with the National Building Museum, and screens in conjuction with their current exhibition, “Flickering Treasures:

Rediscovering Baltimore’s Forgotten Movie Theaters”. For information about the exhibition, visit nbm.org/exhibition/flickering-treasures

U.S. Theatrical Premiere
to Dec 8

U.S. Theatrical Premiere

The U.S. theatrical premiere of SICKIES MAKING FILMS is happening at the SNF Parkway Theatre on November 30, 2018.

Coinciding with the theatrical premiere of Sickies Making Films and the ongoing exhibition John Waters: Indecent Exposure at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the SNF Parkway presents BANNED—a celebration of notoriously censored films. Three films compliment Sickies' opening weekend at the Parkway, including works recommended by the SMF team and inimitable artist/filmmaker/icon/Baltimorean John Waters.

The BANNED series includes: Baby Doll (1956, Elia Kazan), The Outlaw (1943, Howard Hughes), and Salò, or The 120 Days of Sodom (1976, Pier Paolo Pasolini). The series runs 11/30 through 12/5. SICKIES has been held over through Saturday, December 8!
